‘Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.’
I found a site called FileCure and it scans everything – tells you theres 35 problems but it costs to fix! Is this the only solution?? Thanks

Its a difficult one in the sense theres not that much information to go on im afraid.
If its a downloaded media file, the download could be corrupt in which you’ll have to try and download it again (this can be especially true if its a large media file)
The other option is that you dont have the correct Codec installed for the specific file type. Theres several ways you can try to get around this. One is download a codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/. These contain a bundle of codecs that enable you to play a wide variety of formats.
an alternative solution is to download an application called VLC media player, which is quite a good application. Its not that astetically pleasing but will attempt to play corrupt file types. Head on over to http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ for that application.
Hope this Helps!
